Publication of New Policies and Guidance

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal has published a set of new and updated policies, guidance notes, and an amended practice direction on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Updates cover anonymity and non-publication rules, publication of orders, circulation of draft judgments, managing information requests, appeal time limits, and evidence from overseas witnesses.

The Practice Direction on Agreed Outcomes has also been revised to clarify submission timelines and the Tribunal’s discretion as to costs. These changes aim to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and procedural clarity in Tribunal proceedings.
