John Montague

John qualified as a solicitor in 1995. He joined the Crown Prosecution Service  (CPS) in 2004 after a decade in private practice. He is a higher court advocate and has held senior leadership positions within CPS since 2010 and has held national roles for the Service. He is currently the Unit Head for a Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit. 

Additionally, John is a solicitor member of the Kings Counsel Selection Panel, a position he has held since 2024.
