Goodbye to Simon Tinkler and Nalini Chavda

Simon Tinkler ceased to be a member of the Tribunal at the end of April 2022 as he has been appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge. Simon had been a solicitor member of the Tribunal since 2009. During that time Simon sat on, and chaired, numerous cases.

Alison Kellett, President of the Tribunal, said “I would like to thank Simon for all his hard work over the past 13 years. I know that I speak for all the Tribunal’s Members and staff in wishing Simon the very best for his next judicial chapter and we look forward to following his continued success.”

Nalini Chavda was a long-standing Lay Member of the Tribunal, having been first appointed in 2006. Nalini retired on 11 May 2022. Alison Kellett commented “Nalini been a committed and long-standing lay member for 16 years and we have all benefited from her wealth of experience and wisdom during her participation in numerous hearings. We wish her all the very best in her numerous other endeavours for the future.”
