The Solicitors (Disciplinary Proceedings) (Amendment) Rules 2020

Following the making of the Solicitors (Disciplinary Proceedings) Rules 2019 (“SDPR”) it was necessary to amend the SDPR to alter Exit Day to IP Completion Day due to the United Kingdom  leaving the European Union on 31 January 2020 and entering a transition period. At the same time we took the opportunity to make some minor drafting changes for clarity and consistency.  The Solicitors (Disciplinary Proceedings) (Amendment) Rules 2020  have now been made and can be found here. The Statutory Instrument will now be considered by the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments, and is due to come into force on 25 May 2020.
