SDT ANNUAL REPORT

This Annual Report covers the period 1 May 2013 to 31 August 2014.  The Tribunal is adjusting its reporting period in line with the calendar year, resulting in a 16 month report in 2014.

The Report contains comment from the President of the Tribunal Andrew Spooner and Lay Member Valerie Murray-Chandra.  An analysis of case statistics for the period is also provided. The SDT continues to make excellent progress in respect of its performance against target as evidenced by its Performance Measurements. Biographical details of Tribunal Members and staff can be found towards the end of the Report.

The SDT continues to develop and improve its processes, for example the introduction of Practice Direction No. 6 in October 2013 resulting in closely-monitored case management, with which all parties are expected to cooperate. The User Group Committee is valuable in enabling discussion between interested parties for the purpose of agreeing and implementing change.
