Retirement of Laurence Gilford

Laurence Gilford, Solicitor Member of the SDT since 1998, retired on 31 May 2019. Laurence was one of the Tribunal’s longer serving Members. He served the Tribunal with great distinction over the years including as a Solicitor Member of the SDTAL Board and Policy Committee for a six year term.

The President of the SDT, Edward Nally, noted Laurence’s achievements as a Member of the SDT and said:

“Laurence brought an incisive and crisp style to the role of Chair and Solicitor Member.  As a serving Deputy District Judge, he also brought that considerable experience to bear at all times in his Court. We will miss Laurence and wish him well in a long and happy retirement from the Tribunal.”

Members and staff of the SDT wish Laurence the very best for the future.
