Ged Fisher

The President of the Tribunal, Edward Nally, is sorry to announce the death of former Vice-President and Lay Member Ged Fisher on 13 April 2019.

Ged was a member for 19 years and was elected Lay Vice-President of the Tribunal by his fellow Members in May 2010. He served a full three year term in that office and as a Director of the newly-instituted Board of the SDT’s administration company SDTAL.

Ged was an example of the best of us—fair and knowledgeable in his work, and supportive and kind to us all as we worked alongside him. Above all he was a fundamentally decent man who never forgot that life is the richer when accompanied by kindness and a gentle sense of fun .

The Members of the Tribunal and staff send Ged’s widow Ann and their family deepest sympathy at this difficult time.
