Edward Nally Re-elected For Second Term as President

Edward Nally, Solicitor Member, has been re-elected by the SDT membership to serve as President for a second, and final, term of 3 years following a competitive election process. The term commenced on 3 February 2019 and will expire on 2 February 2022. Edward will also continue to serve as a director and Chair of the SDTAL Board and as Chair  of the SDT’s Policy Committee.

Commenting on his re-election, Edward said:

“I consider it a privilege to lead the SDT as President, and am grateful to our membership for the continued trust and confidence they have placed in me . We have a busy and exciting agenda to deliver , and I will do my utmost to promote and indeed enhance the reputation and continued success of the SDT during my renewed term over the next three years”

Edward is a consultant with a well-established North West firm and specialises in Commercial Property and Charity Trust law. He was President of the Law Society of England and Wales in 2004-2005. He was also a Judicial Appointments Commissioner (2006-2011); a Governor of The College of Law (2004-2012); and a Governor of the Legal Education Foundation (2012-2018). He also served as a Member of the Legal Services Board (2011-2015) and is currently a Member of the Queens Counsel Appointments Panel (2016-present).
