Award for Richard Nicholas

On 2 July 2013, Richard Nicholas was awarded the accolade “Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year 2013” by the Legal Aid Practitioners Group, in recognition of his work in advising and representing clients on matters relating to mental health. Richard has been a Solicitor Member of the SDT since 2006.  In private practice he specialises in Mental Health Tribunals and represents those with mental health problems in criminal cases.  He also advises on Human Rights and Judicial Review.  SDT members and staff offer their warmest congratulations to Richard on his well-deserved achievement.
