Appointment of Clerk and Chief Executive Officer

The Tribunal is delighted to announce the appointment of Geraldine Newbold as Clerk to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and Chief Executive Officer of Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Administration Limited.

Geraldine joined the Tribunal as Senior Deputy Clerk in February 2016.  She was Admitted as a Solicitor in 1999.  Having trained and initially worked in private practice, her career before joining the Tribunal was largely in local government in court-facing roles, including as Assistant Chief Legal Officer for Hertfordshire County Council.

Edward Nally, President of the Tribunal, commenting on the appointment, said, “I am delighted to announce this appointment.  Geraldine was the unanimous choice of the selection panel after a rigorous recruitment process.  She has been acting Clerk and CEO since June and has embraced that challenge impressively.  We are fortunate to have secured an excellent candidate in Geraldine and can look forward with confidence to the continued success of the Tribunal.”
