Outcome of SDT Election – Lay Vice-President
The SDT is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Pygram as Lay Vice-President, effective from 3 March 2025.
Anthony joined the Tribunal in June 2022. He brings over 20 years of experience in economic and professional regulation. Anthony is also a member of the Committee on Fuel Poverty, a Lay Member of the Regulatory Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and Chair of the Code Change Committee for the Non-Household Water Market.
Anthony succeeds Dr Stephanie Bown, who has served as Lay Vice-President since 2019. Stephanie’s tenure has been marked by her unwavering dedication and meaningful contributions to advancing the Tribunal’s objectives.
Alison Kellett said:
“Stephanie’s dedication over the years cannot be underestimated and we are grateful for her always thoughtful contributions to board matters. I am, however, pleased to welcome Anthony, who is an excellent addition to our Board. I am really looking forward to working closely with him to continue with the Tribunal’s ambitious plans.“
In addition, the SDT extends its congratulations to Charlotte Rigby on her appointment as a District Judge. Charlotte was appointed to the Tribunal as a Solicitor Member in January 2023. Charlotte will be deployed to the South Eastern Circuit, based at East London Family Court (Westferry), effective from 3 March 2025. Charlotte’s commitment and service to the Tribunal have been highly valuable and we wish her continued success in her judicial career.
